Prestige Training

Prestige Training offers advanced training and schoolmaster lessons for the more established rider looking to develop their knowledge and skill.

We can help you to improve your own confidence towards your training to either take home to your own horse, or bring your own horse for a training session. Our packages enable you to have both schoolmaster session and then training sessions on your own horse to help aid your learning experience.

Whether you are looking to further your knowledge, rider movements you have always wanted to try, aim towards riding in a competition at a specific level, train towards a specific show/exam or just have some fun, this is what prestige training is about.

We have some fabulous schoolmasters ranging from Novice to Grand Prix Dressage horses, Novice to 1.30m Show Jumpers and ex Intermediate Eventers. All our horses are kind and forgiving and not intimidating, they are here for your pleasure and enjoyment and love the job they do. Our Schoolmasters are proudly sponsored by Kate Negus – Bespoke British bridlework.

The Prestige Team

Our dedicated team of advanced instructors are here to help you achieve your goals. All of our instructors are highly qualified and have extensive competition background knowledge & experience. Some of our team are also lucky enough to work with both Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin on a regular basis.

Irma Sutton BHSI – Competed and trained to Small Tour (PSG & Int1) level Dressage. Originally based in Holland as a rider. Also competed to 1.20m Showjumping. Irma also specialises in side-saddle training for all levels.

Martine Winter-Alsop BHSII – Competed and trained to PSG level Dressage and 1.10m Showjumping. Specialising in pre exam training, confidence giving and positional work.

Lottie Mitchell BHSII – Competed at multiple Regional & National Championships achieving consistent top 10 placings. Originally trained under Michelle Eilberg with her own horse. Currently training for her BSHI, jumping 1.20m and training at small tour level.

Sara Gallop BHSII –  International Grand Prix Dressage Rider & Trainer based at Summerhouse Equestrian. Holder of numerous Regional and National Titles, Sara trains under Carl Hester OBE & Charlotte DuJardin MBE, on a weekly basis. Sara has a fantastic string on horses ranging from young horses to Grand Prix and is currently campaigning the International Big Tour (Grand Prix) circuit.

Rachel Gallop BHSAI – International Grand Prix Jumping Rider & Trainer. Rachel has been selected to represent Great Britain at many prestigious events, such as Hickstead, Liverpool and Addington U25 Young riders, competing at Le Mans, Leir & Bonheiden CDI2* to name a few. Rachel has a string of bold horses, ranging from young stock to Grand Prix (1.50m) rides. Originally based with Steven Franks, Rachel now trains under Julie Andrews, Rowland Fernyhough & Tina Fletcher.

All of our instructors are qualified and trained to teach in all 3 disciplines of dressage, show jumping and cross country. Our skillful schoolmasters all have something to offer at various levels and disciplines, so come and have some fun, that is what it is all about.

We also offer intensive courses and can tailor lessons and packages to suit. Half and full day courses in both dressage and show jumping, are available, and we can even set up a mock exam or competition environment for you. Anything is possible, just ask!

You can book a schoolmaster lesson with Sara Gallop and benefit from the knowledge and training techniques she has learnt from Carl & Charlotte.

Sara has been lucky enough to train with Charlotte for the past six years, receiving weekly sessions, as Charlotte’s schedule allows. 

Horse Competition Hire

We offer a bespoke service to our regular clients to have the opportunity to compete our fabulous schoolmasters. We have horses available for both home and away shows, provide a full package with training, preparation, transport etc. Clients have booked horses for the following:

  • Interschool’s Competitions
  • BD, BS and Eventer Challenge competitions
  • Training Clinics

Please note the competition horse is for regular clients only, with the combination signed off ready to compete following a number of assessments. The package we provide offers a full service for the day so that both horse and rider receive the best experience.

As a successful competition venue, we also offer our trainers and horses for personal events and training sessions. We run BUCS University Regional Competitions for many universities in the area, providing horses, trainers, facilities and event organisers, as well as weekly training in preparation for competitions. We can also tailor training days for individual riders or training group looking to come for some intensive competition based training.
